What's the Rumor on Rasheed?

Rasheed Wallace was can potentially be the most talented and dominate player on the floor for the Detroit Pistons. He is one of the most versatile big man in this league, meaning he can step out behind the three point line or show his low-post repertoire against bigger defenders. But sometimes, he's just a no-show. His inconsistancy could prove that he is out Detroit. The question is, when and where.

Game 6 in Detroit was a very unearthyly performance by Rasheed Wallace. Everything about him seemed to be offbeat, almost as if he was less enthusiastic. There was no demonstrative dancing routine prior to the tip-off as always, which energizes the crowd greatly. The finger-pointing was an absence to his game as well. There was no swagger in his play, hinting that he just may be tired of the Detriot Pistons.

If the Pistons do eventually decide to break up their experienced core, Rasheed Wallace just might be the first selection to go. Along with his frequent inconsistancy, I am getting very irritated by his complaining to the referees. He seems to be distracted by something.....but I have no idea what is going on. What makes him even easier to unload is that he is heading into his final year of his contract. In the most crucial game of the season, he consisted of more personal fouls (5) than points (4). And to tell you the truth, he just probably caused his coaches job, Flip Sauders.

It would be best for Detroit to dump Rasheed Wallace, giving needed playing time to young players Jason Maxiell and Amir Johnson, who may develop into good NBA starters.

Some favorable trades that could happen could be a high draft pick, which I see Detroit pulling the trigger on. Another possibility could be Rasheed Wallace to the San Antonio Spurs, Detroit receiving some young prospects in return.

Just think, don't you assume Rasheed Wallace might just want to still be in Atlanta playing for the Hawks?
