Watch and Learn

The Lakers-Celtics series was a very anticipated one, with a lot of anxious fans to watch the rivalry continue. But what we didn't know is that the Game 6 of the Finals drew highest NBA Finals television ratings in eight years. The last time that happened was in 2000 when the Pacers took on the Lakers. Eventually, the Lakers would beat the Pacers.

This is a very good thing for the NBA and it's players and coaches. The bad image has finally been removed and now the Finals have become fun again. The NBA finally got the ratings they deserved, and on a 39-point blowout. Imagine what would have happened if they Lakers would have acctually showed up?

Hey look, there's more good news. The Pistons and Spurs are both going on the decline. Yes, that's right. You saw what happened after the collapse against the Celtics and Lakers respectively. The Spurs are looking to dump half their team in free agency while you've heard all the possible trade rumors going on in the Motor City.
I'd just like to congradulate David Stern all the NBA executives for finally getting the NBA where it needs to be.
